Tanga’s Largest Tungsten Ring Sale of the Year: All Rings On Sale for $14.99 + free shipping
Well, honey, of course I left my wedding ring at some seedy motel where I used a fake name to get a room. That’s what “working late” means.
Great deal! I have the carbon fiber with the diamond inside of it as a wedding band. Without the diamond at Jared's is close to $300 or so. Originally I got this off of overstock (http://www.overstock.com/Jewelry-Watches/Tungsten-Mens-Diamond-Accent-Carbon-Fiber-Inlay-Band/6144222/product.html) it's $100 there. Get it while you can!
getting these ASAP. they look so awesome. LOL.
I found this link on tanga's site for more rings even cheaper than $14.99. There were limited sizes available, though. https://www.tanga.com/deals/rings
Still waiting on my Tanga order from a week ago to ship... Sent them an inquiry and haven't heard anything.
What is "Light" Tungsten? Even the black ones are Light Tungsten....
If its the cobalt tungsten instead of the tungsten carbide, I'm out.
Light tungsten is a mix of tungsten powder and calcium vs the dark, that uses carbide.
@ssratracer: Hum :(
I'm not a metallurgist... um... Would somebody please tell me How do I feel about calcium being an ingredient in a ring? Wouldn't powdered tungsten and calcium make this fairly fragile?
I had to get the LOTR one. Even if I never wear it, it's a great looking ring.
I order twice from them and I never got my items.
Buyer beware !!!!
Due to its hardness, tungsten is already brittle. It shatters before it bends. Typical tungsten jewelery is comprised of 84% tungsten and 16% carbon and nickel binder, to maintain its structure during the forming process. Replacing the carbon with calcium should have minimal affect to the strength. I currently wear 2 light tunsten rings that are 2 years old now, and see no difference in wear vs. my previous tungsten carbide bling.
@mh1988: We're sorry there if there was any mixup. Would you please email me at service@tanga.com w/ your order numbers so we can look into it and see what might have happened?
These are almost certainly base metal (likely steel) plated in tungsten. You don't get a steel ring for $6 and a solid tungsten ring for $15. I guess what you're getting for $15 isn't terrible, but the idea that a plated ring would sell at "retail" for $200 is ludicrous.
I just picked up two. I don't know "jewelry", but I do know that I like the look of two of them. For $15 each... seemed like a good pickup. I'll let you all know when they arrive if I made a good purchase or not.
Awesome, I would love to have Tanga's largest tungsten ring. If I like it, I'll then consider purchasing the smallest.
I'm pretty irritated with Tanga myself. My order arrived without the power adaptor that the website and the box both say should be in it. I try to contact their customer service, via their site, and they email me a FAQ page that says "if your question isn't answered here, please reply to this email and we'll respond within 48 hours." Yeah. Do I have to tell you that it's been over 48 hours and I haven't heard a peep?
A customer service communication model that relies on them receiving a second email directly from the customer grinds my gears. I know when I file on their website that it was received; there's no way to know if my followup email got through, and they can claim that it didn't. "Oh, gee, we never heard from you." Uh-huh. Even when I try to file another complaint, that after 48 hours I haven't heard back, all I get is the idiotic "Here's the FAQ, please contact us if this doesn't answer your question!" auto-email.
Does anyone even work in that department?
I ordered a ring from these guys a few months back - they sent the wrong one. Good luck getting what you ordered from Tanga!
I have ordered several things from Tanga, and never a problem.
I had a good track record with Tanga, though I think an order from two weeks ago has been overlooked. I just sent an email to see if I can get any help on it.
I still wear two rings from Tanga, and both arrived as described and have held up splendidly. I'm not anticipating having any trouble continuing to work with them.
