Anyone have any information about Yuupon or have gotten a deal from them before? No serious strings attached?

Some of their deals just seem too good to be true, so just wondering.

Check to be sure there is not an "extra person" charge for more than two people.
No mention of all-inclusive so I assume all meals and drinks are extra, airfare not included, travel to and from airport not included.

@zetalidan: Went to the website to check it out, it appears as if it's just a voucher to use at the actual website of the hotel to get a discount. I'm leery, you know what they say, looks like, & smells like a skunk, but, before I write them off, has anyone actually used them, or went to the next level and used the "voucher" to get a room?

Also appears that this is a time-share unit. So don't expect the amenities of a hotel or a true "resort".

@spacemonkey6401: Also, just to add, from the purchase screen:
How To Redeem Your Voucher

At the end of the day your credit card will be charged and you'll receive an email with a link to your e-voucher. Your voucher will be available the day after you purchased your voucher. To redeem your hotel reservation voucher, call the reservation number that is listed on your voucher and let them know you are redeeming your yuupon voucher.
If you have any questions please feel free to email help@yuupon.com or call us at 518-935-4559 and we'll be happy to answer your questions.

Hi, I am the founder of Yuupon.com. We are legitimate, no serious strings attached. We have a cash refund period of 8 days after you purchase a voucher and a store credit refund until the voucher expires as long as the voucher hasn't been redeemed.

Check tripadvisor for yuupon and also http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42559731/ns/travel-travel_tips/ - a trustworthy source:
Martha Gillette ... booked her vacation this month using Yuupon.com. She says she snagged a deal — $255 for a three-day stay at the posh Sandestin Beach Resort in Destin, Fla. unlike other discount travel sites such as Priceline & Hotwire, Yuupon lets buyers see which hotel they’re getting, and they can even change their minds. Travelers can cancel or transfer them to family and friends. When Gillette learned that rain was forecast during her planned trip, she asked Yuupon if she could change her dates to arrive three days earlier. They agreed. “It’s a rare, rare thing to be able to do what I did,” says Gillette.

The price is not per person, it's for the condo which sleeps up to six. Airfare is not included. Drinks and meals are not included.

Hope this helps.

I've been going to St. Maarten for 16 years. I own a condo next door to these. Parts of the island are nice and there are the not so nice areas. However, it is a fun island. This might be a way to experience the island at a reduced fee.

Still not entirely sold on it. I'll keep Yuupon bookmarked, though, and try out a cheaper deal when I have the extra funds to do so.

Unfortunately the $3400 for flights to get me + family there kinda kills the deal.
