Requires both the origins DRM/activation app and the page says that it also requires the gamestop app. I would be interested in playing the games, but not at the cost of two additional pieces of crapware.

That is sad. I hadn't tried to buy it yet, so I wasn't aware of the process.

While installing the Gamestop app is a stupid requirement, all you need to do is get the product key after the install then remove the app. That's what I did for this game and for Serious Sam 3 a while back.

The majority of these games ( I haven't tried them all) aren't compatible with Windows 7 immediately after downloading.

I've tried the workaround steps suggested on EA's support page with the same results. They don't appear to have a customer service email address though and I guess I'm just out $9.

Beware!

@wenwensboy: The download page says "This incredible value includes: •17 Command & Conquer titles via digital download, updated to run on the Windows Vista® and Windows® 7 operating systems" Could there be an issue with your computer?

Nope. The support page has a list of settings (directX), updates (video drivers), and patches (v1.03)... tried them all and still no go. And their customer support seems to be pretty non-existent... tried to use their online chat and it said no one was available.

Other people have the same complaint. It's pretty common from what I could tell.

you have to run them like anything else. You are running a 32-bit game in 64-bit that was made in early 2000s. Use compatibility mode. I run it on Win 7 32b and Win 7 64b and Win 8 64b. No problems.

That said, private servers run most of these games, the most awesome is C&C:Renegade online. Jelly server is popular, always 20-50 people in a game, custom maps, unlimited ammo, and recommendations for good players, and anti-cheat modes. See Tiberium Technologies www.tiberiantechnologies.org for a patch (destroyed vehicles can be rebuilt and stolen, too!)

Which compatibility mode do you use? I tried everything back to Win 95 with no luck...

@viperomegax: Eventually, we will find a simple functional site to download command and conquer from!

They all work great on windows 8. I would have assumed that would be the same with 7...

I bought the pack from Origin (no EA involvement) a while back and at least RA and RA2 work with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I don't recall having to change compatibility. Maybe the EA stuff is complicating it? Dunno.

This is a great deal, however, the process to get the game downloaded has been excruciating. I am very unhappy about everything I had to go through. Not worth it.

Did any of you ever play C&C Sole Survivor? I wish that game made it big. It was so much fun.
