I got this last week. Just start the download. It even failed out on my Acer NetBook. I figured I wouldn't get the credit, but sure enough a few days later they emailed a code for it. Never finished the download let alone evaluated it! Got 1600 xbox points with the credit!

This is a full System Center trial. If you don't have the requirements for Windows Server, this isn't for you. This isn't something you just throw on your Facebook machine. You have to go through the Virtual Labs for System Center for this to be valid.

Note that you're also signing the agreement that states you are an IT professional when you sign up etc.

For those who might feel badly about lying on these forms etc. that might be a factor. I'm also 75% certain they've exhausted their 5000 codes, which is why there's no promo code entry spot any more.

Same, could not enter promo code, I really don't understand why they haven't taken this page down if they're out of codes because at this point it's semi-false advertising. While it's true the rules are stated, it is also their responsibility to take down the contest in a timely manner, and it appearing to have been over nearly 8 hours ago, I think they've had more than enough time to change a web page.

I tried sending them an email, we'll see if it gets me anywhere. Golden rule, complaining gets you everywhere.

@chhaylatte: Since people didn't actually have to install, and one person here reported they didn't even have to download it, I don't see why it wouldn't work for a Mac.

I never got to enter a promo code, but I got an e-mail with my $20 code! Worked for me. I did install though... I'm a PC geek and was curious.

Just got an email with and Updated Code that did work. Got the $20 promotion code and got 1,600 microsoft points for free. Thanks for the heads up!
