Has anyone actually heard of this airline? Are they any good? Are they called spirit because you'll die midflight and will only arrive to your destination in spirit.

They're real...(from Wikipedia) Spirit currently maintains bases in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Detroit, Michigan; and Atlantic City, New Jersey. Over half of the airline's flights are to destinations in the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Latin America.

@wootvan: Well, there you go. It's an east coast thing, I guess. @catbertthegreat and I are both over here in the Pacific time zone. Still, I would rather just see the money go to the red cross. Excepting Paul Newman, and a very few others, I mostly take "and we'll donate" claims with a grain of salt.

Atlantic City? Interesting. That's where the FAA test centers are.
