Just want to note this is a third-party battery, not the official MS brand product. FYI for those who may not be a fan of third-party accessories.

Check out the way this thing charges.. this isn't an actual Play & Charge kit.. it's some kind of odd off-chute version of one lol..

Read the review on Newegg.
There's no light.. And the charging cable is completely different. It's a USB cable that sticks DIRECTLY into the batterypack abd sticks out the back of the controller. So I'd bet money this thing would probably get pulled out if you were playing while charging..

I'd say get something like this:

Although I gotta admit, I'm still considering gettin' one.

Picked one up for my brother. For $6 maybe it will keep him from yanking the pack out of my controller when he runs out of AAs. Even if it lasts through 2 charging cycles its still cheaper than buying batteries, plus you'll have an extra USB cable!

Because the cable plugs directly into the battery, do you think this would cause trouble hooking it up to a PC with the wireless adapter?

@stark: i am educated guessing that the charger here bypasses anything to do with the the controller and it's communication, the controller just think it has batteries in it, so it shouldn't interfere with anything, on the same note, you couldn't just plug this into your PC and have it control anything. (you would need the wireless adapter)
