$5 more including shipping at Wallyword.

seems to have decent reviews.

$199 would make it more tempting.

Reviews seem to indicate the sound is a little weak though.

I love vizio tv's in general, but the fact that they seem to have so many of these makes me a little nervous.

@auctionsaver: FWIW, the Walmart one has a 90-day warranty. Ours has a 6-month warranty.

Bought one of these from Secondipity (via Deals.woot) last year - in September. It was listed as "Excellent Condition." It appeared never to have been out of the box, but was not a refurb.

I paid $193.49.

It's a GREAT little TV. We've got it hooked up to a conventional DVD player, a Roku and also a little Pyle amp running a couple of good Pioneer passive speakers (all via Deals.woot) and it sounds and looks splendid. We've also run it as a laptop monitor, before we had the Roku, to watch streamed content. Handled it just fine.

At this size, 720 is plenty, and so is 60hz. NEVER had any problem with any streamed content, videos, sports ... anything. No problem with high speed action, detail ... nuthin'.

We're sold on Vizio on the basis of this TV and our next large TV will doubtless be another Vizio.

I think this is a very good price for this TV refurbished and with a 6 month warranty. Jump before they sell out.

why would anyone buy a 72o t? you can get 1080 tv that last your easy 5-7 years without going out of stle for $300ish

vote-for6vote-against

I bought one of these the last time they were on woot.
Unfortunately, the tv was dead on arrival.
When plugged in the "vizio" logo would light up, but the tv itself would NOT turn on. I still have to send it back to the refurbishing company for them to fix it.

I advise my fellow wooters to research and some caution when thinking about purchasing this tv. Just google or youtube the model number with the phrase "wont turn on" to see how prevalent this type of problem is.

It was an impulse buy and now i regret not researching it a bit more.

@joevsyou: Can't tell you why "anyone" would - you, apparently, would not. But I can tell you why I did. A good TV that does what I want done VERY well, VERY reliably and costs significantly less (in my case, 1/3 less than the $300 you mention) is a very good purchase.

In the room where I've got this TV, it does everything I need it to do and at a very good price, so why would I spend more? Just to have "a better one"?

If it doesn't do anything more for me than the less expensive one, I'll let YOU buy the more expensive one, since it does something you want done that I don't care about.

@ morbidity I had the same problem with my Vizio. I purchased it on Amazon in late-April of 2010 and it went out about 3 weeks ago. It lasted two years and now only the Vizio logo will pop up. I am currently looking into buying a tv on craigslist even though it is not recommended. Also, I will not buy a Vizio tv again. I will probably refrain from buying any second or third tier television sets at all. Just saying people should do their homework before buying a tv set.

I own this for over a year now. It was a refurb at Secondipity. Have no complaints. It's awesome.

@auctionsaver: you can get the same size sceptre tv but 1080p at the price of this vizio. doesn't seem like much of a deal.

I got one of these the last time it came up on Woot as a second TV for the bedroom, connected to a Roku box (also Woot). Very happy with it.

@terminatorgir: Resolution isn't everything, you know. There are reasons Vizio has gone from nowhere to best selling brand in just a few years. Also think about your source material. If you're watching TV (mostly 1080i or 720p), DVDs (480p), or streamed material (varies), 1080p isn't buying you much. And even when you do get 1080p source, you really can't tell the difference on a screen this size at a normal viewing distance.

@sdbcmr: Well I think that was a very good answer,so good I'm going to upvote it. How about it folks, even if you don't totally agree with "sdbcmr" it was a very good logical answer. Give him/her an upvote won't you?

Just got mine from last woot. Never worked.could not reach refurb company and had to send to woot.

Holy pewp; Imgine my surprize when I go on Woot! and see my good friend from the Horror Film convention circuit chilling on the first pic. That guy is one of the nicest Satans you'll ever meet.

My husband and I own 2 of these TVs and they are GREAT. even my brother, who knows his electronics (he's a gamer and a researcher) has one. As far as the sound quality, I dare anyone to find a flat screen with great sound. They don't exist, because of how the TV is made. We have our living room one hooked to an audio receiver but our bedroom one isn't hooked to anything and I'm fine with the sound quality.

vote-for4vote-against

Got this on the last woot . Works grat and perfect for our bedroom. The only bad thing the Visio label lights up on the bottom and is annoying when watching so I covered it with black electrical tape

vote-for2vote-against

I bought 2 of these within the past year and really want to buy another one just because of the price and how good the video looks. I have 6 HDTVs in my house, a 1080p Samsung 50" as well as an old 720p Panasonic Plasma. In my opinion the image quality is totally acceptable being 60Hz and 720p because of it's size. This is really an excellent model.
BTW, my second Vizio purchased from Woot has an occasional issue with not powering on, just the Vizio light comes on. I just power it off and right back on and it works fine.

vote-for2vote-against

We have two Vizio TVs, both Woot refurbs. No troubles with either.

The first was a 42 incher, bought almost 3 years ago, the second a 22 inch 2 years ago. I wouldn't hesitate going for one if these.

(Actually, we also have a third Vizio TV that I bought from Costco.)

vote-for4vote-against

I bought 2 of these last year or so from Woot. They are refurbs, and I have Never had a problem with either one. They came out of the box looking Brand-New.In a way, I almost feel like refurbs could be better. They have undergone a thorough check. Just in case, I also got Square Trade Wtys. If I needed another TV, I wouldn't balk at Vizio at all, I would just want a bigger one.. And for $5.00 shipping, You can't beat it. As far as the Vizio name at the bottom, It has never bothered me at all.

Fry's has some 32" in their current add for 189. They've also got a 120hz, 1080p plasma for only 499!

vote-for2vote-against

The walmart I am working at (not sure if prices would be the same although somewhat the same online) have the same tv for $278 new (sorry my phone doesnt scroll the comments correctly so idk if this has been already posted. From personal experience with customer interactions it is a top end tv (not top tier like sony samsung lg etc) but it is up there, nice price and vizio themselves make a very solid product. I have a 32 led I purchased a few months ago works beautifully for D3 ^^.

vote-for2vote-against

^^to late to edit my comment, but that plasma at fry's is the typical 600hz, not 120hz, like I stated. I confused two deals. I guess I was too excited about the 120hz, 60" ! LED LCD for $899.

I have this TV - purchased from Woot - a refurb. It is the best one of three I own. I love it. I have had zero problems. But, then again, some people will - it is just a fact. I purchased a netbook on Woot and it did not last over a year and a half. It is riding in pieces in the back of my car (had someone dissemble it) waiting for me to take it to a recycling place. It is an Aesus, and most people would tell you how wonderful they are. It all depends on the luck of the draw.

vote-for2vote-against

I know it's not totally relevant but I have a couple other vizio refurbs I got off tiger direct and they have both served me well.

@klozitshoper: " ... It all depends on the luck of the draw."

Oh, ain't it the truth?

The six month warranty helps.

vote-for-3vote-against

In for 10000. Heck. The Devil made me do it!

vote-for2vote-against

Never owned a vizio but when the sportsbar near the house opened they had all new vizios. now i understand they were left on all day but the picture started going out after 4 months and after 6 months the vizios were replaced with samsungs and they are still going 2 years later

vote-for3vote-against

I have bought 6 of these the last 2 times I saw them on Woot, and all 6 of them are working great, no issues. I had 3 of them briefly hooked up as an Eyefinity 3-screen gaming session of TF2, but now most of them are hooked up in my business.

vote-for2vote-against

Owned a Vizio for a few months now and the only real issue I have had has been the logo. When they say it glows, it REALLY glows. Like, annoyingly bright, especially when the room is dark. On my model there was no way to adjust or turn it off, so I went with the electrical tape solution to cover the logo.

vote-for3vote-against

I've had a Vizio for almost a year; it was my parents' before that. I don't have any serious issues. . . I wish it had an alarm, but that's about it.

vote-for3vote-against

Bought my girlfriend this last year and picture quality is excellent!

vote-for3vote-against

Bought one last fall and was fine.......just bought another one!!

vote-for1vote-against

Anyone know how and when these will ship?

vote-for1vote-against

Arrived today DOA, and of course the warranty call center is closed for the holiday weekend!!

vote-for1vote-against

got mine yesterday. Powered it up last night and all was great, but this morning it wouldn't even turn on. So dissapointed. Shipping it back is at own expense - apparently this is a common problem with Vizios. SO bummed: this was our first flat screen ever.

vote-for1vote-against

@lovemycat: Did you get through to customer service number, or you are just planning to send it back on Tuesday?

vote-for1vote-against

@lovemycat: I bought 2 of these referbs in the past from Woot. One of them has an occasional problem of not powering on. If I power it off and on again it works. It is still under warranty but doesn't act up very often.
