Not a bad deal. Woot constantly has AMD Quad-core HP Pavilions with similar specs minus the video card for $300-400. For the extra money for this one you get the Intel i5 which is worth while and a silent $50 video card. If you plan to use this for gaming, you'll probably want to replace the video card anyway,but it's still overall a good deal.

Yeah, after upgrading the power supply and video card in one of the HP AMD systems, I ended up paying more than this for slightly slower processor, and somewhat faster video card. I think this is a nice deal.

With a new GPU and 750W+ power supply added, this is a great system. Tigerdirect has a 6850 for $129 (after MIR) and free shipping... I personally don't care for MIRs, but still a good deal.

My only complaint with this system is the 300W power supply. With today's technology, that almost seems like actively handicapping your product.
