Anyone know if the bulbs will keep until Spring if I just leave them in the garage somewhere? I know next to nothing about gardemting, but from what I'm reading, it's not the right time to plant them.
Lilies can be planted Spring or Fall. You need to keep the roots moist but not wet. If they dry out, the bulb is done. You could try peatmoss or even newspaper, just be sure it is only damp, they could rot if soaked. Some people even put them packed together in a planter with soil that's kept damp. It won't bother if your garage is cool/cold.
I just checked the TulipWorld site. They won't ship out the bulbs until mid March.
