Not an amazing price...but less than the new "retail" price. So it's cool in my book.

Me though? I got 2 years from Dell and 6 months from the $1/mo LIVE! deal I posted a few months back :) - so I can afford to hold off.

Better price at Microsoft store but that deal forces auto renewal at whatever the price is at that time. I'd rather not worry about getting hit with a surprise bill next year.

What??!!
Best Buy has 3 month cards for $8... paper and download... that's $32/year...
This is post is only a deal because regular price is so inflated- they always come up for under $40/yr.

@rroberto: Where do you see that for $8? A 3 month card shows up at $12.99 on the Best Buy site.

@rshaker2: It takes 2 minutes of your time to call and have them turn off auto renew.

@hanker: they had em on there a couple days ago for 7.99 3 months it was a sale dont know if its still going on.. i bought a few just for the cause.

I saw a offer today on xbox live to renew for $39.99 for 12 months. I ended up getting that.

@segafanalways & @rshaker2: You do not have to call to cancel your auto-renew now, you can do it from the site in like two seconds.

@rickmasta: I've tried to do it on the website but I have never had luck doing that way.

@hanker: I guess it ended- it was $8 starting Thursday and was still when I posted.

I have heard tons of horror stories about canceling auto renew at MS. You can only cancel from the site if you live in a handful of states- my state for example is not one of them.
I have never paid more then $35/yr for a card- and I'm now good until 2014
