You can make these out of a 2 liter bottle and save yourself $10.

You can also not order from these frauds and save yourself a headache.

Or you can know that we have been around for many years and know that nothing about us is "fraud". Just give us a call if you have any concerns.

Eh, wow, those ratings are all remarkably consistent.

@boehmap, thanks for the heads up.

They maybe bad at shipping and being quick but they are NOT SCAMMERS!!! I have bought many things from them with very little problems

vote-for2vote-against

I also have bought numerous items and haven't had one problem! Sometimes shipping is a bit long, but no longer than Woot's smartpost! The one time I got concerned enough to look up their contact info, the package arrived in the mail that day before I called. I check their site daily, right along with Woot!, Shnoop, 1Saleaday, and 5StarDaily Deals. (IHTHT: send my check soon!;-)

That being said, everything I've read said these don't work. I wanted one really bad when they first came out, but read reviews that said the plants just die.

I don't know anything about this seller, but I can say that these upside-down tomato planters SUCK.

1) You have to start with a rather small plant or else you'll surely snap it while trying to maneuver it into the planter
2) The container casts a shadow making it difficult for the poor tiny leaves to get enough sunlight.
3) good luck figuring out how to hang it with a few pounds of dirt and a delicate plant inside it. You'd better have a friend to help you.

I've bought from IHtHT several times without issue. Not a scam outfit. Like the other commenter said, they're on my daily deals-to-look-at list.

But I agree that this product is a total waste of perfectly good money and materials. The plants bake in the sun, dry out too quickly, crisp up and die. And that's up here in Milwaukee, where our summers are usually fairly moderate.

I guess I'm alone here, but I have one and it works just fine, just make sure you hang it in direct sunlight, and water it every day, tomatoes need that. As for needing to people to hang it up, As long as you set the hook in well and have a ladder, it isn't a problem. If you think it is going to be too heavy, only put a little bit of dirt in first, then put the rest in after you hang it. Fill it most of the way to the top so that the roots have lots of room to grow, and if you can't remember to water it all the time, you can hide a small or medium an aqua globe in these things without too much trouble. Happy Wooting!

When someone invents upside-down carrots so I don't have to dig them out of the ground, call me.

vote-for1vote-against

Please excuse the run-ons, I'm sick today =(

I had one of these. It rotted in the sun. Not the tomatoes, but the stupid bag you put the dirt in.
Not only that, the plants didn't do so well in them.
Once I transplanted tothe ground, my tomatoes flourished!

Don't waste your time or money on this thing.

@boehmap: Yikes!! Thanks for the eyeopening info ,definately will avoid this company.

I have made purchases from this company before and have been very happy. I also think these work very well. I live in New Mexico and have been happy with the one I have.

@tmdowling: The folks I know who have tried them have had tomato plants grow, but the flowers don't make tomatoes. I suspect its a pollenation thing, not many people growing food here in the desert so it's a long way between tomato plants. Plus you have to hang them in the shade, nothing soft grows in our sun. I've thought it might be interesting to dangle a few homemade ones from my big mulberry's branches, they could be kind of ornamental if I wanted to glue some pretty rocks or mosaic tiles to the sides. But that committment to daily watering is a hassle. I'll have to think on it some more.

I have ordered from IHTHTat least 15 times now, with zero issue. Shipping takes forever. If you know how to read and do proper research PRIOR to paying it really isn't an issue. It's irritating when people call a company "scammers" because they are too farking stupid to understand basic things.

Should shipping take so long? Hell if I know, but I DON'T BUY IT if I'm worried about it. Woot isn't exactly lightning fast shipping either and obviously folks don't have an issue here....

So yeah, they ship cheap crap slowly, but there is no scam to that, it's pretty obvious.

I buy before from this company. Missing product, very, very Slow shipping and nonexistent customer service. I open three complains "tickets" in their website and I was totally ignored. Please don't compare this people to woot.com, it is insulting. Save your money, they are scammers.

This thing is an absolute waste of time. It has no insulation at all which means all the moisture in the dirt evaporates very quickly. On top of that you'll end up baking the root system of your plants. If you don't have any good old-fashioned ground to work with then buy a ceramic pot instead.

Based on one seasons' attempt:

1) You will need to water these daily

2) Do not attempt to grow anything other than the "cherry" varieties - tomatoes (well, plants in general) do NOT like to grow upside-down - period. The plant will constantly attempt to grow upright, and larger fruits will break the stems. They will continue to grow, but the plant will endure additional stress because of this

3) Yields will never near that of those in pots or in the ground. Like half if you're lucky. Even with fertilizers.

Note - I also tried blue lack green beans this way - and got like 4 beans a plant.

Finally, I have purchased from IHTHT numerous times and have never had a single problem.
