Checking for other prices online I found $99 at geeks.com (out of stock) and as low as $89 on Amazon. I haven't found any reviews yet, but I'm wondering whether I could use this to display a video or slideshow at an informational booth. It would save me from having to use my laptop for that, and I would have less fear of losing it. Think I need to dig a bit more.

@belyndag: Ok, I'm answering my own questions, but I found that this is the 2010 model no longer in production which explains the lower price. It still might be what I need, and accessories are still available.

@belyndag: I've done this at trade shows with a similar product. It should work fine if you don't need sound. If you do, you might need external speakers.
