Oh! This is wonderful...like a refresher course on "How To McGyver Everything." Fix it w/a string, the spring from a ball point pen...well you know. Or, you'll be reminded when you watch these.

A really nice touch would be $10 more for the collectible/gift edition with a worn knife and half a roll of duct tape.

Patty and Selma Bouvier approved.

This is cheap because it's really just a set of instructions on how to make your own DVD with a plastic plate and a pin.

Crap. I love the show, but I have heard the discs are packaged horribly. Some received theirs with a nice outer box, but only 2-3 disc envelopes with multiple dvds in each.. No extras or goodies..

And it's DVD only.. Blu-Ray would be a purchase on spot, but not for plain DVD..

Still waiting for "MacGruber - The Complete Series" to go on sale.

MacGyver in Blu-Ray doesn't exist, and I doubt it ever will, and if it did, the picture would get reformatted. It's DVD quality or nothing. You either love MacGyver or you don't. I have all of the seasons purchased separately, and it's barely DVD quality (looks like tape transfer), but it's still better than nothing.

@ozzallos: They tried to create a box set, but 3 seconds before each set finishes production, they explode.

I have these. Quality is so-so. I figure picture quality is blurred to protect the innocent and keep someone from actually making those explosives....

I had this set, but I broke it. I did eventually manage to fix it with some bubblegum, a magnifying glass, a 9V battery, and the tears of a Tibetan monk.

@taurine: That's because it is a tape transfer. It was shot on film, but edited on tape. A blu-ray release is possible, but would require going back to the film source and re-editing from scratch to match for each episodes. Any effects shots would also have to be redone. Very doable for a more popular show like Star Trek or Seinfeld, but unlikely for this show.
