I have SwiftKey keyboard for my phone and love it! I think it's way better than the standard keyboards that came with the phone.

Swiftkey is a great keyboard, I got it free from Amazon a long time ago, and it's totally worth its asking price. So for $0.49, jump on it!

this is one of the few apps that I paid full price for on my phone. At this price it's a no-brainer.

It's much better at predicting what you are typing and if you use the same phrases a lot it accurately guesses the next word too!

@chellemonkey: agreed. I can sometimes type an entire text without having to physically start typing anything...just choose one of the top 3 words! :)

Great keyboard. The keyboard that comes with Ice Cream Sandwich is much improved as well compared to past Android Keyboards, but does not predict text as well as SwiftkeyX. I use Swiftkey and Swype and am still trying to figure out which one I like best. The latest Swype Beta is good too. For $.49 this is an easy choice. I promise you won't be disappointed at this price.

Anyone know if this works well on a tablet? (I own a HP TouchPad with Ice Cream Sandwich installed)

I've been trying Swiftkey X and TouchPal (check it out if you haven't heard of it, its free on GooglePlay) for the past few days. I've been trying to decide which one to stick with. They're both great keyboards though, but when it comes with me for my phone, I typically just use my thumb to text (while holding the phone with 1 hand) so if only Swiftkey had a swipe-style feature I'd use it full time.

When I went to the page it shows $3.99....is deal dead?

@theadkins: It shows it will work on my Iconia Tab but they have a special keyboard for tablets https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey.tablet.full&feature=more_from_developer#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEwMiwiY29tLnRvdWNodHlwZS5zd2lmdGtleS50YWJsZXQuZnVsbCJd

@theadkins: I tried it on my tabled (Lenovo K1) When installing, it warned that it might have compatibility issues. It did not register correctly on the screen when in landscape mode, but seemed to work ok in portrait mode. The kicker was that in some apps, the typing field would type in a very light yellow color so I could not see what I was typing. Overall I liked it, but it had enough issues, so I uninstalled it from my tablet. I am going to try it on my phone though, because they say it is compatible. Give it a try to see if it works.

@theadkins: i use it on my touchpad running cm7. It can get frustrating, the period is way to close to the spacebar, 70 percent of the time when you start typing it will repeat letters like tttttttttthis until you swipe delete. They acknowledge the bug but theres no fix. It also tends to pop up and drop right back off sometimes or it drops out mid sentence causing accidental clicks, and you lose everything you type. When it works its awesome but if youre in an irritated mood these bugs will make you want to throw the tablet. Hows cm9 on the tp? What DOESN'T work atm?
