So do these things actually work?

I've used dryer balls for years; they seem to work. They get rid of any damp spots by helping to further separate wet clothes that might stick to each other, and they leave my towels feeling less stiff. That matters to me because I quit using fabric softener when I learned that silkiness it imparts to clothes is a chemical residue for reducing friction of fabric and that it's sitting right next to your skin. The chemicals are harmless, I'm sure, but i just don't care for the idea.

My son and I are allergic to fabric softener, so I can't use any. I have these and they do help soften the towels and clothes. Unfortunately, they don't do anything for static like dryer sheets used to.

Dryer balls? Who whould have thought. I guess now I'll have to take a peek under the washer.

I found another brand of this product on eBay for $1.69 per one ea. with free shipping. Forget the 4.99!

Consumer Reports did a test on the dryer balls and only gave them a fair rating, BUT that rating went up the more that you used. I found some similar to these at a discount store and bought 6 (3 sets, obviously) and they work like a charm.

Dryer sheets give me a rash... dryer balls are the only way to go.

We had our dryer neutered. It's been much more calm since we had it's balls removed. It's your responsibility to control the appliance population. Please spay or neuter your washer and dryer.

What happens when you put these in together with Schwetty Balls?
