These Kingston drives with the metal flip cover are the only non-xbox branded USB sticks I've found that don't produce the negative performance pop-up when formatting for xbox 360 use.
The only issue I've run into with these: if the drive is in a computer when it's booting, it takes forever to boot. Pull it out before boot, plug it back in after, and everything is groovy. Currently using mine to watch videos on my Raspberry Pi, and haven't had any problems.
Sorry folks, I got the last one.
I don't trust Kingston.
Last time I purchased kingstons from woot, 1 of 4 was DOA. 1 of the others failed, taking a bunch of photos with it. The remaining went into the trash.
I have two of these drives in 16gb size, I use them to play MP3s in my car and move files around, the only complaint I have is that the transfer speed on these is painfully slow. But at this size 5MBps isn't too bad as it'll take under half an hour to fill it up. http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=8gb+%2F+5+MBps
I have one of these in the 32GB size.... painfully slow is an understatement.
@stark: Sigh. Guess I'll have to get the consolation Snuggie instead - http://www.bensoutlet.com/products/the-original-cozy-blanket
Anyone know what the storage capacity is on those?
