I've got this saw; great addition to your tools.
with Chicago Electric, you get what you pay for. consider Craftsman's 6 amp sawzall for about the same price.
I also have this saw. It is way better than the orange one Harbor Freight was selling before. I've cut a lot of metal with it and so far its taken the abuse quite well. The rotating handle is a nice touch. A good set of blades is a must.
@stephen6789: Looks like the the Craftsman is $59.
I always reciprocate
When my Porter Cable died and I needed a sawsall, I bought this saw with a coupon out of Popular Mechanics. The blades at HF are bad, but this tool simply works. Worth 20 bucks, but not worth more than that.
The technique used in the pictures is WRONG for a reciprocating saw.
The plate should sit firmly against the wood when cutting, otherwise, you will not have any control over the tool while cutting.
@l3000c: It funny you would say that. I've watched several guys use one the last couple of weeks. Not a single person used the plate to stabalize the saw. Maybe someone needs to show them how to do it. Since they were "professionals" I just watched and kept my mouth shut...
