This is currently Intel's top end chip, and is a good deal on it, but be aware of two things before buying:

1. Ivy Bridge doesn't overclock well at all so if you're wanting to bump it up by more than a couple hundred MHz you're better off with a Sandy Bridge or waiting for AMD to get their house sorted.

2. Hyperthreading isn't all it's cracked up to be, only offering about 10% more performance than a similar non-HT chip (or just disabling it, which some people do). Intel has mostly moved away from the "LOL YOU GET EIGHT THREADS!!!1!eleven" marketing hype but just note that you're getting a kickass quad that has some optimization for heavily threaded applications, nothing more nothing less.
