Stay away from these idiots at mygofer. The product description says Tracfone, but they sent a Net10 phone. You cannot transfer your tracfone minutes to a net10 phone (confirmed by my call to tracfone cust. service). Is it any wonder why sears/kmart will be the joining ames, woolworth, hills, in the retail graveyard?

You can't transfer Tracfone minutes to a Net10 account. But I believe Tracfone and Net10 sim cards are interchangeable, because they are two different billing plans on the same wireless network.

In other words, if you have a phone that was purchased for Tracfone, and you put in a Net10 SIM card, that phone will henceforth operate as a Net10 phone. Conversely, if you have a phone that was purchased for Net10, and you put in a Tracfone SIM card, that phone will henceforth operate as a Tracfone phone.

A few years ago, I got an old (expired) Tracfone from my parents. When I went to Radio Shack to put some minutes on it, the sales guy asked, "Is that a Tracfone or Net10 phone?" He went on to explain what I said above... the same physical phone can be used on either system.

I'd suggest you call the company, and specifically ask if you can use your Tracfone SIM card in the "Net10 phone" that you received. Or else just try it... I'm pretty sure it will work OK for you.
