or save even more and switch to a Safety Razor (also known as DE - Double Edge) where you can get your choice of a variety of blades from various vendors for as little as 10 cents each including shipping. Less irritation, cleaner shave, greener because there isn't a load of plastic to discard. Less expensive and more comfortable with brush lathering as well instead of the canned chemicals.

@lxzndr: Definitely came here to say this. Well done, Good Sir.

Even if you prefer the comfort of a cartridge shave, Lifehacker debunked this as a deal a little while ago; You can get the same products for a third of the price. http://lifehacker.com/5903771/forget-dollar-shave-clubbuy-the-same-high-quality-razors-for-a-third-of-the-price

How is this a deal again? It's the normal price from DSC...(well, and then there's those safety razor comments...great for those guys but I'd rather stick with the clean easy shave that I get with a multi-blade razor)

Another for a Safety razor instead of the cartridges that are usually non-recyclable, expensive, and more prone to cause razor burn. Safety razors are much cheaper, and the blades are recyclable steel.

C'mon guys! I know Karate... I know Jujitsu.... OOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

That said my regular ol' subscribe and save option through Amazon keeps me with enough razors for like $40-45 a year.

signed up with DSC when they came out a couple of months ago. Got the lowest priced one. it's $3 a month. It saved me some cash since i had a Gillette Fusion that cost $45 for 16 razors at Sams Club. I shave every day. So that's about $120 a year in just razor.
DSC sends me 5 razors a month, so i pretty much change them out every 5 days. No issues at all with the single blade because it's always a new one and never dull. Saves me over $80 in razors.

Another +1 for safety razor. I recently picked up 2 boxes of 100 blades for $17.79 + free shipping, Derby Plus (green). Got it from Amazon Marketplace and the seller sent me an extra 35 blades. I use, at most, 1 blade a week. So we are looking at a minimum 4 1/2 years of shaving for $18. That's about 8 cents per blade!

My first year of switching to DE cost me about $100 due to the cost of the equipment, however, since then, I have spent about $40. I won't need to buy new blades for a long time, so it will be even less.

I use feathers, but the cost a bit more than Derby's do. I feel I get a better shave with no discomfort compared to derby's. Plus my wife uses them as well.
