They just charged my card from the $10 deal back in October, and it came out to $1 more than this once tax and shipping were factored in.

@j5: was that with the free hobbit movie ticket deal? I got in on that one too!

Good deal for these versions, but I would still shell out the extra $20-$30 for the extended versions if you're a true LOTR fan.

Great price if you only want the movies, but I'm incredibly happy with the $40 I spent on the extended BluRays. The only downside is I may have to rebuy them in 5 years when there is a set out which includes the Hobbit trilogy.

@thiney49: I just bought the BestBuy $40 Blu-Ray trilogy and by reading your post I got semi pissed off because you are indeed correct, damn it... screw it my husband is getting the hobbit sold separately! ;p;

Thanks! Great present for a good friend!

This has been $9 at the physical stores. I bought it a week ago there, and then seen it was still there and $9 yesterday in a different city.

Target has the extended versions for $10 each with $5 Hobbit movie money. The extended versions are WAAAAYYYY better. Just picked up another set this evening for a gift.
