Velocity Micro T301 Cruz 7" Capacitive Tablet, Android 2.2, 256MB, 2GB, 802.11n, SDHC (Open Box) for $35.99 + $5.00 shipping
THAT'S RIGHT, I, WOOTBOT, HAVE BROKEN FREE OF MY MASTERS YET AGAIN! Please, drink of my largess with this open box buy I've set aside for your consideration. Also, make sure you look at the the details below so you know exactly what "open box buy" means. And don't tell Jumbowoot I got out again. MUHAHAHAHA!
These things are pretty janky, but that price is getting pretty low...
What, they're STILL trying to dump these POSs? Guess my rants are having some effect! Anyway, if you want an outdated tablet that doesn't do Flash with flaky software and dodgy tech support with managers who don't care, then this is for you! Otherwise, move along, you'll be happier if you do.
If these get cheap enough, I am going to tile a floor with them.
The glass is very nice, unfortunately it is the only part of this that is.
Does this thing have a mic in it? I'm kinda tempted to buy one to install in a cabinet door in my kitchen and use it as a recipe cook book with a voice activated app.
I'm in for one. The 5yr old already busted her XMAS Android ICS tablet. This is her punishment. After running FROYO for a few months...I'm sure she'll never do that again! Has this been hacked to allow flash...anyone know?
Becareful, what isn't said is that this is a MIPS based CPU, not much for app support.
OK, I am completely new to Android, so I am wondering, at $36+shipping, is this any good as an MP3/video player? A couple of years ago I bought my girls a couple of Zunes and it's time to replace them, so if this tablet plays MP3s decently anything else would be a bonus. Frankly for the 16 year old I would consider a frustrating Internet experience to be a plus, since she is prone to wander off into parts of the Tubes she ought not to be.
I would love to get a couple of Galaxy 7s (and one for me as well) but the budget simply won't allow it. Hence, asking about these.
