Is this the "unofficial" ending to Firefly? I'm 75% through the series on Blu-Ray, and I am sad that such a brilliant show from Joss Whedon was cancelled. Or was it just ended? I'm unsure.

@bmw66x: as @waker1 pointed out, this movie does act as a "series finale" for the show Firefly, which got cancelled midway through its first season. the movie does leave the door open for possible sequels, and there are graphic-novel stories, although I think only one of them takes place after Serenity.

@waker1: Looking at iTunes, buying a digital copy from them direct is $10, so getting this set is cheaper (assuming free shipping). Then you can give away your older editions and make a new fan!
