Selection of EA games 60% off for $2.39 + free shipping
Populous, Ultima, Wing Commander, Nox, and more.
these should be freeware by now.
@aggiejd: some games are just classic, and worth $3
FYI Ultima 3 is the one on the NES wikipedia.

I am buying a bunch of these... Especially Wing Commander: Privateer. That was an absolute classic back in the day that I spent months playing through. $2.39 is totally worth no longer having to fool with DOSbox and my original CD.
bought all the wing commander games. lots of fun, brought back good memories of hacking the autoexec.bat to make 2 work, back in the day.
@aggiejd: I agree in theory, but GOG is a great step forward given that IP law has been completely poisoned by unchecked lawyers. I'd rather pay 3 bucks for a DRM free game than not have it at all.
30 years later and Lord British is still raking it in...
a dutch friend of mine clued me in on this and I was going to repost here
no need for the credits, some wicked games at a cheapass price! cant beat it
@bogus: I'd rather pay 3 bucks for a DRM free game than not have it at all.
^^^ DING DING - I agree =)
@aggiejd: I agree things like copyrights going on a thousand years beyond the creators' death is a bit much, but that anything ~20 years old should be free is extreme in the opposite direction. Being convenient and cheap is a good way for these games to be.
the ultima games were the best. you can get some of the individual games on that site for free too which is nice. I am downloading ultima IV now for free which was always my favorite. thanks for link.
So, how are the ultima games different through this gog thing, vs playing the originals using Exult? I already own these, but it's such a bitch to find a floppy drive to install u7 again... will these work right out of the proverbial box?
Charles.
