@jessiekaye: Tis a shame, as I've no interest in "3-Pack of Seamless Leggings Great for Zumba/Yoga/Exercise, Fits Size 4 to 18"

@romeojn: It's funny amazon made the ads available to all kindle users. A lot of customers got angry over missing out on the deals.

I went ahead and did the lifetime 3G model and love it and still use it wherever I roam around the world. After using my brother's Kindle with ads, I would pay almost any amount of money to avoid them. Just an FYI for those trying to make a choice.

I purchase the 3G version with the offers and I love it. They just offered me a $10 gift card for using my Discover on my 1 click purchase.

@psaux: Your memory serves you well. ;-) I pondered the same question - Is it worth $50 more? Ended up getting the 3G. They were gifts; didn't know if the receipients had wi-fi set up at home.

Also, recommend anyone buying this to get a warranty. I have purchased Square Trade warranties on all the Kindles I've bought. Used it twice on 1 (the K2Int'l). Worth the extra expense to me. Others may disagree, & I understand that, too. ;-)

@gmwhit: Just to supplement, wifi-only, no-ads, keyboard kindle sold for $139, if I recall correctly. I'm pretty sure on this, since I remember thinking, "Gee, only $50 more for 'lifetime' 3g .... should I? ... Nah."

Just so you know - this Wi-Fi Keyboard Kindle never retailed for the $189 shown on the website. That was the original Amazon price for the 3G & Wi-Fi w/o ads. Don't know if this has ads or not; it clearly is Wi-Fi only.

Not saying it's not a good buy, it is. Just be aware that you are not buying a 3G & Wi-Fi kindle & it may have ads. Amazon's current prices for the 3G, both w/and w/o 'special offers' (ads).
