Too early for Christmas, this might be.
But maybe stock up early so you can be ready, you should.

Why is there no picture of the R2D2 lights? That's so anti-robotite.

@namorama: apparently, if you order something for the holidays from thinkgeek, it is never too early.

I ordered a halloween item on oct 20th, thinking that was plenty of time (order stated 3-5 business day shipping, and shipping was expensive). item didn't actually ship until the 25th, and on the 31st the package arrived. I was relieved that it was there by halloween for our party. Opened the package. WTF???? A CHEAP UMBRELLA?????
I contacted them, and they sent an email 2 days later apologizing, and sayin the item would be replaced, and WOW!!!!! I COULD KEEP THE CRAPPY UMBRELLA!

Anyway, no offer of a partial refund, and they didn't even use expedited shipping... the correct item arrived on nov 10th or so. Along with a thinkgeek catalog. As if I'll ever order anything from them again.

@kamikazeken: Their shipping is a joke. Totally expensive to the point that I rarely buy from them any more. They used to do where you'd get free shipping, so I'd wait for those days, but they seem to have gotten rid of those. So now I basically find items I like and then look for them on eBay or Amazon.

As for the item, if it was Halloween related I'd have demanded a refund. Remember, use your credit card because you can file a claim with the company should the retailer fail to complete their end of the deal. They messed up an order of mine but they fixed it immediately. I will give their customer service department an A, but alas their shipping fees are a joke.
