I did this Groupon. Paid 8$ for the Groupon for this 20$ value. Problem is, when I went to my cart in Dominos, it still charged me 8$! This is a scam.

@mleejr: Your so right. You pay $8 to Groupon, and then another $8 to Dominos. That's $16, about the price of supreme from there.
Fail.

vote-for1vote-against

@mleejr: It is clearly stated that Tax is not included in the deal, so you probably live in CA, MA, or NJ and just paid $8 in tax.

Large Pizza with your choice of toppings is currently $11.99 at my local Domino's. Not as big of a discount as Groupon would like you to believe.

vote-for4vote-against

@wootificator: Well we do call it Taxachusetts but I can't say I have ever paid 50-100% sales tax here. Just the normal 6.25% thank you very much.

vote-for3vote-against

I used to like Dominos pizza, but the new recipe sucks. And they've been doing 9.99 large any topping pizza deals around my area forever.

vote-for3vote-against

@mleejr: Apparently you can redeem the $8 coupon without having to pay Domino's directly, but you have to order online at a unique website (which will be emailed to you), and it must be for carryout ONLY- no delivery.

vote-for2vote-against

@jnixon: Agreed! They were never that good, but now it's just awful.

vote-for4vote-against

But its dominoes!! Papa John's is running $11 LG deals. You get what you pay for PJ's is worth $4 more.

vote-for5vote-against

You can get 1 topping Large pizza from Domino's near me every Tuesday for $5.99. How is this a deal????????

vote-for3vote-against

@mkentosh: The groupon lets you get up to 10 toppings

vote-for5vote-against

The Domino's by my house is $5.99 for a large two topping (carryout) everyday. I don't know why I bothered to tell you all that.

vote-for2vote-against

I don't like Domino's, although the Domino's here is running a special that's 2 mediums for 10. Since I don't buy Domino's, I didn't bother to pay attention to the details like how many toppings, delivery, etc.

Never had Papa John's, but they have a deal here now too, I think $11 for a 2 topping large, but again, since I don't buy there, I don't know all the details.

There is a local pizza place called Park Pizza that has the VERY BEST pizza ever made!! A large cheese pizza from them in just over $10, including tax, any time. I think toppings are $1 or maybe $1.25 extra on a large pizza, but once again, I don't get extra toppings, so I'm not 100% sure.
Their pizza is so good that even in this small town of about 35,000 that has Domino's, Papa John's, 2 Pizza Huts, and several other pizza shops, as well as dozens of places that don't specialize in pizza but do sell it, if you call Park Pizza between about 6-10 PM on a Friday or Saturday night, the wait to get your pizza is usually 1 1/2-2 hours.
The place had a fire a couple of years ago and was out of business for about 6 months to rebuild. The first week or 2 the wait to order a pizza got to as much as 5 hours!!!
That's not only GREAT pizza, but damn loyal customers!

So this works or it doesn't? I don't really want to purchase it to find out I still owe them another 8 dollars.

vote-for2vote-against

@jnixon: Really? I was a Papa John's disciple but the new Dominos recipe, ESPECIALLY the crust, has won me back big time. Way better than even the local pizza places, and I live in NY.

vote-for1vote-against

@everyone The groupon works as described, you just have to order the pizza online, as someone else previously stated. You will still have to pay tax. For instance, I purchased this groupon when it was sold last month. I ordered the pizza online through the link Groupon sends via email, and I was charged exactly $8.66. The email Groupon sends also includes instructions to pay via gift card and a code to subtract $8 from the domino's bill. The remainder the customer has to pay is tax, which in my case, was $.66, which was charged to a credit card whose number I provided to domino's at checkout online. The pizza was also extremely delicious and the new recipe is boss for any naysayers that say otherwise.

@breaddrink Groupon works. Buy on Groupon's site, and when you "print" the deal, it tells you what to do. Click on website, enter deal code. It gives you a gift card for $8 to use on the pizza and a link with the coupon code for your pizza at $8. Pimp out your pizza, mark it carryout, and use the gift card. In PA, it was an additional 48 cents in taxes.

Sex is like pizza. Even when it is bad it is good.

@evannerash: "Sex is like pizza. Even when it's bad it's good".

You've been very fortunate my friend! :)

So, Domino's has a $20 large pizza?

Ugh, I hate Domino's to begin with.

vote-for2vote-against

@tr1pps... Papa Johns is only about 20 years old. Pizza hut and dominoes are much older but PJ has forced both to change their recipes in efforts to keep up with PJ's.

vote-for2vote-against

@evannerash: No no... Sex is like pizza, even when it's bad it's good?

Is this true even if the bad sex you're having smells like Anchovies on a Bad Pizza?

vote-for1vote-against

@mleejr: Did you follow the instructions? If you did I'm sure you wouldn't have this problem

Please use http://www.groupon.com/r/uu23546906 to join groupon. They pay me $20 per referal

vote-for1vote-against

Please use http://www.groupon.com/r/uu2154860 to join Groupon. For some reason they only pay me $10 (in Groupon Bucks) per referral. So I need twice as many of you to use my link! lol

Thanks guys!

vote-for3vote-against

I've got a wonderful idea: let's flood this thread with referral links!

vote-for6vote-against

I didn't realize groupon and domino's were so clever... Marketing 10 topping pizzas to stoners on 420. Haha QK

vote-for1vote-against

Could you buy these from multiple cities to get more than 3? My Dominos doesn't seem to have as good of specials as some others, so this is a deal for me.

Then again, I don't really need to be ordering pizza more than three times in a month.

vote-for1vote-against

duuuuuuuuuuuuudeeeeee, zaaaaaaaaaa!

vote-for1vote-against

$8 for $8!! I hate redundant deals! I bought two, glad I didn't get 3 if this truly is carryout only.
