That's so excessive and unnecessary for 99.99% (or more) of the population. It's things like this that make me love the internet... so much. If I weren't currently unemployed I'd have to buy these just on principle.

In for 2. Just because I can.

Or at least, that's what I would be saying, if I weren't clown-ass broke...Which I most definitely am.

If you need slightly less, here's a 50 pack for $5.00 bucks..

outstanding. I wish these were on an isle at costco so I could watch shoppers reaction. I wonder how many bundles of 10k they have.

vote-for2vote-against

@snapster: Haha...that'd be great.

Especially come Christmas; parents who have no idea what to get their techie kids heh...end up unwrapping a small pallet of button cell's, because they asked Mom to pick up 2 Double A's, one time, when their 360 controller died.

If anyone actually picks this up, I think everybody would appreciate a picture...I'm curious to see how these things are packed..
[edit]
Looks like the come in 10x10 blister packs, from that picture...hm, wonder if these would be worth parting out..

vote-for6vote-against

Only $17,400.01 off list price, not too bad of a deal.

vote-for1vote-against

You could make a couple hundred bucks selling these, couldn't you?

Gotta spend money to make money...

vote-for1vote-against

At 1.5 volts each, you could wire them all together and have a 15,000 volt... pile of batteries?

vote-for1vote-against

Love the original price! 17,500.00 = $1.75 per 1 - c'mon.

vote-for2vote-against

@coldphoenix: A quick search on eBay for what actually sold in lots of 50 shows an average price around $2, or about $0.04 each including shipping. So, I'd say your guess is pretty accurate assuming you eat about $100 in postage. However, throw eBay and PayPal fees on top, and you're probably only going to double your money.

And someone before thought I was crazy for suggesting selling 60 Google Blinky pins to break even. Your break even point here is approximately 100 lots of 50.

Will these work with my iPhone 4 ? The battery is always dying on that thing.. ;-)

vote-for1vote-against

Are these compatible with my Delorean? The manual says something about 1.21 Gigawatts. What the heck is a Gigawatt?

vote-for4vote-against

@dosquatch: a gigawatt is a unit of power equivalent to 10^9 watts, or 10^9 joules/second. To achieve this amount of power out of these batteries, you'd need a current of 66,666 amps (66,666 coulombs/second * 15,000 joules/coulomb = 10^9 j/s). In order to draw that much current, you'd need a circuit with an equivalent resistance of roughly 15000/66666 = 0.225 ohms.
I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that your time travel apparatus has a resistance much larger than that.

I think you'd have to buy somewhere between 100 to 1000 (or maybe even more) of these in order to meet these requirements.
You'd definitely be better off trying to find a lightning bolt.

@drchops: But 50/$5 is 10 times the price (50/$5 == 1,000/$100 == 10,000/$1,000)

I never buy batteries in bulk again, but I digress. The daily deal is pretty awesome though. $65 for a LOT of stuff. http://graveyardmall.com/boxofasgemee.html

@quizme2000:

"Theres a last item, that we won't list because in reality, we have no idea what it actually is. It comes packaged with just the manufacturers name. We're guessing that their marketing guy at the time got fired, but you gotta give 'em credit, it was a new and bold concept to try"

If anybody bites, please post pics of the last item. Now I'm curious. Not $60 curious though.

vote-for1vote-against

@graveyardmall: I just don't have much of a need at all for lr44's. How about something like this for cr2025's?

vote-for1vote-against

I would never use 10,000 LR44 batteries in 1,000 lifetimes. Maybe if this were an assortment of batteries (you know, where you only get like 5 LR44 batteries).

vote-for2vote-against

My guess is that if i bought this they would end up corroding before i could use them all :(

vote-for1vote-against

Are these the ones that special adult toys use? Some people could be in for a weekend to remember!

vote-for2vote-against

Wow, what a deal..

For you people that actually have money it would be a good investment to buy these.

Looking around on ebay they go for around .10 ea..

that's about 900.00 profit..

BUT, realistically, and as an ebay user myself..

it probably about 600.00 profit.. Seriously not bad

vote-for1vote-against

@secretagentman02: Yea, but in that case, you're total cost is gonna be slightly less than $100 bucks...about $95 less heh (+s&h), and you won't end up letting 9,950 batteries go to waste; so there's the enviromental aspect too :D.

It's like driving a Prius

vote-for1vote-against

Go into a camera shop and you can pay 4.99 each

@clifbar: ...You'd definitely be better off trying to find a lightning bolt.

Here ya go

@dosquatch: the word you're looking for is Jigawatt

vote-for1vote-against

Would this be something you could use for LED Throwies?
Like this ---> http://www.instructables.com/id/LED-Throwies/
If it is, all I need are 10,000 magnets and lots of tape and I am good to go..

vote-for1vote-against

@grasshopperjonez: yes, you would need to stack 2 to match the 3v, but it should work fine. can't say how long they'd last, but I'm considering this...

vote-for1vote-against

@neffknows: Rofl, if you're lucky.

@spitfire6006006: See, it's funny, because it's not actually spelled with a J. He has the word he's looking for, gigawatt, even if it is pronounced like it's a J.
