Game of Thrones: The Complete Second Season [Blu-ray] NR for $27.99
[7 Discs]
Plus tax & shipping (about $4 more)
Great deal
$49.96 at Amazon(free shipping) and includes DVD set and digital copy. I couldn't find just a BD set at Amazon......I agree the $27.99 + shipping sounds good but I think I'll wait closer to the release date to see if B&Ms have it for about the same.
With season 1 I got it at Costco for about the same price but even before opening it I saw Target had it for the same price + 1 extra bonus disc so I returned the Costco purchase. BB had it for the same price but no bonus disc.
I haven't seen a Blu-Ray version of this that doesn't have the DVD/Digital copy included. Pretty sure those are included here (picture indicates that as well).
Free shipping on DVD orders over $30.
So if you can add another DVD for $2.01, but keep it under the $4 shipping, it'll be an even better deal!
UPC code matches up with Amazon's @ $49.96 with DVD/Digital
Personally, I'm torn as I bought Season 1 Collectors Ed as it was on sale (cheaper then the regular version) and would like to see if they will make a collectors ed for season 2
FYE still exists? I thought the whole chain closed down a few years ago - or are they online-only now?
Reported it to Amazon's price matchers.... we'll see if they bite.
nice! easy gift lined up for my fiancee's birthday! (went for the $3 shipping since that's not till the end of march)
@marcwason: I called Amazon hoping for a price match. No bite--that bites! :(
Its impossible to find a cheap dvd to skip that shipping charge on there.
As far as price matching goes, Fry's Electronics Brick & Mortar stores will match even on-line store prices. I presume they'll add the on-line store's shipping cost then you have to pay sales tax but still pretty damn good if you have a local Fry's.
No idea if they'll do it for pre-orders though. I wonder how long this FYE price will last.
@jjeff: I was going to ask you what "B&M" means but as I was composing a comment, I used the term: "brick & mortar" so there it is.
@whitewind:
Yes your right, sorry about that. It's not the brown bean company ;)
I wonder whats up with including the DVDs, the season 1 I got was only the BDs......with a show like this you really need BDs to be able to clearly see things, with all the dark scenes and all. I guess the DVDs are meant for portable players and such but IMO things would be very hard to see on such a player. I'd just as soon save the $5 or whatever it costs them to include the DVDs but maybe thats just me.
@lparsons42: They have a LOT fewer locations than they used to, but they're still kicking.
Just for reference, buying a used CD for a few dollars puts the total over $30 and gets you free budget shipping. Whether that's worth your while, I don't know. I rather think that the budget shipping will probably take upwards of a week. I hope Amazon ends up price matching this eventually.
@stark: I hope so, too, but I'm not holding my breath. HBO Blu-Ray sets never seem to get below $40, even at Amazon.
How do I get it for the $28 ???
@gm031555: Build a time machine, from the look of it. Sorry.
I just checked and this deal appears to be dead. Too bad, the FYE website now lists it as:
FYE - Our Price: $57.99
FYE - Member Price $52.19

Wow... that's lame...
Just got an email from FYE saying my order had been cancelled because the price on the website was incorrect at the time of purchase. sigh
Same here. Took them long enough; now they're nearly ten bucks higher than Amazon. I think they'll be out of business in five years anyway--god forbid they try and be competitive.
Yup they cancelled my order too.
Lame, they cancelled mine too. Anybody try to email customer service and plead the case?
