I'm noticing in the minimum requirements section that it specifies "WINDOWS XP ONLY"

Can someone confirm that there are compatibility issues with other versions of Windows? (Win 7/ Win 8)

I was able to get it up and running on Windows 7 64 bit right away. I ran through a tutorial, but didn't play because I didn't have time - but $3.99 (including tax, since Arizona requires Amazon to collect tax) was too good a deal to pass up. Heck of a deal for one of my all time favorite PC games.

NOTE: The code CAGROCKS provided works on other video games, as well. I just tried it and got Psychonauts for 3.74 as well. A purchase I recommend to everyone who loves a great video game!

Code is good for just one discount; the link above makes that clear. I've never played SIMS before so I am going to pop for it anyway since I got Psychonauts already.

I run this on Mac with CrossOver and have no issues, and it looks like you can run it with plain ol' WINe according to their forums.

PS - this is the best SimCity to date IMHO

I have been playing this game for years, but I have noticed stability problems in Windows 7, and occasionally it will hard crash, no error or anything, it just closes. I find if I save often, it's not a huge problem. I still play it though, and that is a great price.

I got this through steam a while back and I am having no issues running it on Windows 7. I have been playing it the past couple of days.
