I have to question a jewelry store that does not know the difference between and princess cut and a square cut.

@karenpowelllaw: Square cut earrings sets in general, are referred to as "Princess cut" in the Wholesale, Retail, and Jewelry industry. "Square cut" is generally not an industry term, unless you are a Jeweler, or a Gemologist. The "princess cut" was designed for getting maximum brilliance from a "square cut" stone. So in closing, we are selling a "Princess cut", "Square stone" set, and the overwhelming majority of our customers, the "Retail market" are comfortable with the "Princess cut" term that we use in our listings.

@jewelrydod: Mia culpa. I based my comment on what I knew about rings, not earrings.
