There are rumors on the new egg feedback page that there are lots of difficulties involved in getting the rebate, as well as some cases of people not receiving it at all. Also, worth noting that you can't return the item anymore after you send in the rebate. Uses ancient DDR2 memory, is 64-bit, and the fan is of questionable quality.... Sounds like a lot of hassle, for a Windows experience index of 3.9 for graphics.... In this day and age you can do a lot better.

@purgatory13z: Yeah, DDR2 is laughably bad. You could get a much better card for 5-10 bucks more.

I have a different HD4650 card (an AGP8x card, even) and it gets a 6.0 Windows Experience Index on graphics, 6.5 on gaming graphics.

Also has to do with the actual card manufacturer and the memory used. And I'm not to familiar with how they name things, but I think the 3870 is actually a higher end card, where the 4650 is a newer model but with lower specs. Not sure though.
