It's the first of the month: which means (aside from your rent) that we have a new list of 100 Kindle books on special this month. Notable titles are Molly Ringwald's book (4.1 stars, so evidentily not bad), a biography of the loves of Marilyn Monroe, the first book in the Mongoliad series (by Neil Stephenson among others). I'm trying to reduce the amount of simple carbohydrates in my diet, but that cookbook on southern biscuits (pictured) really has me thinking.

They aren't all on the first page. Hit the tab headings for specific generes to get all titles listed. For example, Shirer's Rise and Fall of the Third Reich is under the General Nonfiction tab. I'd consider buying that one, but I'm still working through Churchill's 4 volume history of WWII.

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
