Big John's is top notch and very professional. They are some of the best jerky I've ever had. I've ordered from them for a few years now and their jerky just gets better. Sign up for their email list and they occasionally give out discounts.

I'm usually a House of Jerky guy, but I'll give this a try. Thanks for posting.

Order Big John's all the time, at least once a month and during Christmas I place a HUGE order because everyone always steals mine so I give it as gifts. Everyone loves it. Seriously, haven't met a single person who didn't want to know where I got it from. They have a loyalty program as well. Gives up to 10% off so you can get even better deals.

I haven't had any Beef Jerky in a while - and I've never had any "good" stuff (mostly just the stuff you find in stores, Jack Link's or whatever it is). I ordered some of the original and fiery hot slabs. I didn't realize this stuff costs so much - but 2 pounds is a lot. Thanks for the post.

In for one. 2 lbs is a lot for the money, hopefully as good as they say.

Sounds like a fantastic deal, especially compared to samsclub.com, where Jack Links runs about $28/lb. Can't wait to taste it! Thanks for sharing.

For the amount most of you are spending on this you could get a dehydrator and just make your own that is to your taste.

@triplebud: Been there, done that. Convenience and my time are actually worth something. :)

I've not heard of these brands mentioned but if you want jerky made out of real meat and not chopped up meat with fillers added, You've got to get Desert Blend Jerky. They mail order all over the world including to APO's. We had them ship some to Iraq when my brother was stationed there. It's the best and the freshest. I hate that stale taste you get from the stuff I've tried in stores. Stick with the stuff that's made from real sliced and marinated meat. Their web site is kinda simple looking but the jerky is amazing. You have to either call in your order to (800) 97-JERKY which is (800) 975-3759 or e-mail them. They even send out free samples if you want.

@richrauch: It doesn't take THAT much time. Slice, throw in marinade for a while, arrange on your drying platform of choice (I use a box fan and pleated filters) and let it dry overnight. Hands-on time is like twenty minutes, tops.

My order is still pending, how long does shipping usually take?
