@smeghead1851: Either way, the NRA will continue to support you're rights as a citizen regardless of how you feel : )

@davidschronic: I wish your 6th grade teacher would have supported you as much as your NRA has, and taught you when to correctly use "your" and "you're".

I dropped my NRA membership when they chose to support the sale of armor-piercing bullets.

The right to protect yourself is important, whether you choose to use that right or not is up to you. I'm not a member of the NRA, but I think it's ok that they are passionate about something they feel is important.

@punkcrib: you're kind of an angry guy aren't you? I like the NRA because one day last year some "punk" like you broke into my car and stole a gun. NRA replaced it at no cost.

The NRA has drifted far from its original goals. They were for gun control. It was when crime increased that they started to pander to the crime-fearing people and moved to this.

Also, they've forgotten what the 2nd Amendment is as most members. Their headquarters is engraved with "The right to bear arms shall not be infringed" but the 2nd Amendment is "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." Leaving out the beginning phrase completely changes the meaning of it.

To be continued...

And some statistics for you:
- over 35,000 gun deaths in the US each year
- about 60% of that is suicides so that leaves about 14,000 homicides.
- If you total up all the gun deaths (homicides and suicides) in all the countries with strict gun laws - Australia, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK, you get about 5,000!
- I include Switzerland because though everyone is issued a firearm, everyone also serves in the military, too.

Comparing states and crime statistics, if you compare California who has the strictest against Texas and Florida who both have the fewest, you'll find that they have very comparable crime rates.

Beliefs and opinions are nice but facts are facts and that's what decisions should be based on.

@davidschronic: You can't deny facts just because they're inconvenient to your beliefs.

BTW - I like that you chided someone on their education but yet you choose to remain ignorant and not listen to the facts. Hypocrisy much?

@first2summit: You're funny. I didn't "deny" any of your "facts", I just don't care to hear them. I have no desire to argue with you. I will be careful not to post anything controversial on deals again, some people get a little too worked up and make this into a opinion message board as opposed to a deal sharing community. If you don't want to use the deal, then don't. Again, I will make myself clear: it really makes no difference to me how you feel. I'll even vote you up to make you feel better.
