Rolling Stone is an all-American magazine that has been devoted to music, politics, and popular culture for four decades since its founding in San Francisco in 1967 by Jann Wenner, who remains the editor and publisher today.
This renowned and revered magazine is known for its diversity of content, although always synonymous with the rock and roll way of life. While Rolling Stone has evolved over the years, certain features and columns regarded as trademarks of the magazine have remained intact, such as “National Affairs,” “Rock & Roll,” and “Random Notes.”
Rolling Stone is considered by many sources and reviews as one of the most influential magazines around, always delivering the greatest of whatever is out there in music, film, television, and more.
You can buy up to a 3-year subscription and it comes with 26 issues per year.
It has some of the best writing and reporting - particularly from Matt Taibbi. He and Hastings has really brought the magazine around in the latter part of 2000s. It's ranked 54th with 1.4MM in circulation.
@fbara: You're ignorant. It has some of the best political reporting.
@andersonemily: Yeah. The code is WOOT. It's in the gray box of my post. ^_^
Discount works for 3 years as well - $11.97 final price
@smitty258: So don't read them. As the saying goes, you're throwing the baby out with the bath water.

@first2summit: I could not disagree more. All the Obama loving, Romney bashing literally made me throw them in the trash. I mean, I don't mind comparing candidates on the issues but these articles (not all were written by Taibbi) were so totally one-sided (and I guess it is a left-leaning magazine) that it made Fox news look fair and balanced. And, that article about 30 Rock ending (the one article I allowed myself to read) was so poorly written that I couldn't believe it was published.
This is a TRASH publication that may have been worthwhile 20 years ago.......another commie rag like Newsweek!!!
@first2summit: Just TRASH
@smitty258: you right-wingers are hilarious. You only know two types of politics - your extreme right-wing positions, and everything else is 'extreme left-wing'.
So, saying that a dysfnctional congress that struggles to vote to renew a treaty to keep nuclear weapons materials around the world out of hands of terrorists, to pass a bill to care for our wounded troops, to pay our bills putting our credit rating as a country in jeopardy, that abuses the filibuster by far more than ever in history (hundreds a year instead of zero to five times as intended) is 'extreme left-wing'. Obama IS too far to the right. Ronald Reagan prosecuted bankers for the crisis he had, and over 1,000 bankers were convicted. Obama hasn't convicted one banker of a crime - and they happened.
Obama has prosecuted more whistle-blowers about the wrongs he has continued than any other president; the only person going to jail for torture is the CIA agent who confirmed it happened.

The Republican party's power comes from duping the gullible voters, while they still have to deal with the inconvenience of pseudo-democracy, like you (they're working on that, too, though, from their voter suppresion schemes - the 2000 stolen election has some great examples - to the current talk about changing the presidential electoral votes to be based on the gerrymandered congressional districts they created by taking state governments in the 2010 election, when 10 year districts are made, allowing them to win 33 more seats in the House despite getting fewer votes.
If the Republicans' change had been in place in the 2012 election, even though Obama got 65 million votes to Romney's 60 million, Romney would have won. That's a war on democracy and voters.
Misprint? Seems to be $39.99 when added to cart. Any promo codes?
I didn't think anyone still read this magazine anymore. It's been going downhill, and losing its relevance, for several decades.
Got a similar deal on this a while back, and I will not be renewing.
I love it for all the music industry news, and have found a lot of bands that I wouldn't have ever known about if it weren't for it. However nearly a third of the magazine is extreme left wing propaganda. They usually have a large section devoted to political topics. I think in one of the more recent issues they even criticized Obama for not being left wing enough!
If only they'd stick to music and pop culture topics, I'd love it. Keep politics out of it!
