Stay cool while you sleep with the Convection-Cooled 8" Memory Foam Mattress and Pillow Set
Originally designed for NASA, this space age foam cradles your body, reducing pressure points that cause tossing and turning
Open, memory foam cell structure allows cool air to displace warm air
Memory foam mattress is topped with a 2-inch-thick, 4-pound convection cooled memory foam layer that circulates air using unique air flow ducts
The 3-inch core foam support structure contains air flow channels that directs cool air throughout the mattress
The 3-inch high-density supportive base foam helps mold your body and eliminates the uncomfortable pressure-points and motion transfer
Medium supportive firmness mattress never needs turning and can be used with any existing box springs or platform bed
Overlaid with a non-flammable fabric, this memory foam mattress meets all flammability requirements
Memory foam is resistant to dust mites and is naturally antimicrobial
This thing has an odor. Does this possibly go away over time? It has been 3 days.
@curvin777: In addition, these are probably built to resist sag on their edges, so stacking two side-by-side might result in a sort of ridge down the center of your double-wide bed.
@curvin777: No, 2x twin is not a king. 2x twinXL = king. A king is 76 x 80, and 2 twins would be about 72 inches wide if put together, and much shorter than 80 inches long.
"convection cool"? Does it have a built-in fan, or would that be marketed as "forced convection cool"?
@thomas998: As someone who has purchased one of the "cheap ones" from Woot in the past, I will have to disagree with you. We got a King size "convection cool" mattress last year and it is fantastic. No back pain at all and I sleep like a log. We are very happy with it.
There are things in the world where price does not matter, like gasoline whether it says Exxon or Moe's it all came from the same place you are just paying extra at one because of perception. That is not true of foam mattreses, there are different grades of foam and different kinds as well... If you get a cheap one you might get a few weeks or a couple of months of use out of it before it starts to wear out.
When it does start to wear out be ready for back pain beyond belief. You have been warned.
2xtwin = king. So would 2 of these be a better option than a single king in terms of longevity, displacement, and comfort?
the 'cool' part is interesting, considering the memory foam I've slept on previous holds heat like a - like, you know, something that holds heat really well. like it's heat-memory foam, in addition... to... yeah.
those things get hot.
@bigfrank: Creative photography, double-check the fine print. :)
I've shared a twin bed before with my wife, sure... but when there are two people on a twin bed, be prepared to stand up when you need to roll over.
Twin = Single
Full = double
Queen bigger than Full
King bigger than Queen
I don't know why Twin can't fit two people... Well it can, but you'd better be CLOSE friends.
@cleverett: Is a Twin not the same as a full
@bigfrank: In general, a full or queen mattress (which is what is on woot.com) or a king (home.woot.com) will cost more than a twin (which is what's here on moofi.woot.com). So, you're seeing right but you're not properly processing what it is that you're seeing.
Am I seeing right or did woot just get out wooted?
