Been looking for one of these! My non-portable flask has been much less convenient than I expected.

heh, flasks aren't very useful in general. I recommend a half liter nalgene to get the job done.

Flasks are for alcoholics trying to save money. We know you have the big bottle of Jameson at home but it's impractical to take that to the baseball games you umpire. This is pocket size so both you and the kids can have fun.

@phizzo: Like my friend used to say: You're only an alcoholic if you go to the meetings.

good for going out to the movies where you don't want to drink too much that you'll pee.

Can't have too many flasks. Now you can have one for each pocket.

what kind of flasks aren't portable?

Idk how much I would trust liquid in a chinese stainless flask. I'm sure there is some chromium but the content is probably so low that this thing will rust the first time you wash it, unless of course you are able to hand dry the insides of this which is near to impossible.

@coondogg97: why are those not portable? i have a 5 gallon bucket with a spout that is portable. you certainly don't need to plug it in.

@peterflynn: I love sneaking in booze to the movies as well.

The problem with flasks is that they usually only hold enough for one person, if that, and they are hard to fill and clean.

This is why I recommend a nalgene. They are BPA free, durable, hold much more liquid than a flask, easier to fill and clean and drink out of and also don't look as obvious as a flask.

This is the one I use:
