Here's the thread I was talking about in the description if anybody cares:

"Anyone have advice on using a Dremmel to trim dog's nails?"

And lemme just say, I know this isn't going to get popular.. but there'll probably be half a dozen or so people that are glad they saw it :)
(I figure if I predict and acknowledge my own inevitable failure, it'll take some of the sting out of it :D)

All this thing did was scare the crap out of my cats. It's not exactly a quiet machine! Maybe they work better on dogs?

Either way, that's a good deal. Nice find!

If your pet won't let you near their nails in the first place, this thing won't help. We could never get my dog to tolerate it long enough for it to work.

@ciarlar: Yeah, some dogs despise stuff like this.. and some dogs like it. I had one of each..
If you calm them down and go about it the right way, you can usually get the dog to tolerate it. Obviously that's not gonna work for all dogs/owners, but I'd say you could use it on a large part of dogs. But of course, there're always dogs who won't have ANYTHING to do with stuff like this, regardless of how good you approach the situation heh

@claudicina: I've never had to trim my cats nails - don't think I'd want to try :)
(My cat's one of those "If you do something I don't like, I'm gonna scratch you freaking eyes out" kinda cats)

My sister bought one of these and returned it right away because it barely worked on her German Shepard/Chow and our shih tzu. It's just wasn't powerful enought to effectively file their nails.

Reviews seem to be pretty mixed on this:

^ According to the best review/worst review page
Best review: It works amazingly well on dogs (even big dogs)
Worst review: Terrible for cats.. "Very disappointed!"

I have owned one for about two years now. My Rat Terrier absolutely hates having his nails cut, but he nearly falls asleep when I use the PediPaws on him. The only down side is that it takes too long to trim his nails if I only used the PediPaws... it's much better to use it after cutting the nails so that you can smooth any sharp edges.

Yeah... My dog would have no part of this thing. I remember the dogs from the commercials seeming pretty stoned too. Just saying...

Did that title get edited? lol..it's 95% the same, but I think it said "+(shipping only $2.95)"
Maybe not.. I changed it back and forth like 30 times trying to decide whether or not to put shipping in the title.

I had bought one of these because I'm nervous about trimming my dogs nails. What a waste of money. It takes too long and getting my dog to sit still is impossible.
