I forgot about a lot of these (I guess that's why they are One-Hit Wonders). Awesome.

Men At Work had more than one hit. Remember "Who Can It Be Now?"

It's hard to be in a bad mood after you listen to "Sugar, Sugar".

Thanks for posting!

Not that anyone asked but, technically Vanilla Ice and Kris Kross are two hit wonders. Illshutupnow

Ends up I'm really glad this was posted. I got $5 in mp3 credit that I'd better use before it's expired, and this reminded me of it!

You can get a few of the ones listed above (and a bunch of other stuff) free on the Google market.

@dvshrt: So true! Their first album was a pretty good one!

After browsing this list, I think some of these bands should pay ME for buying their whole albums!

And you know one of my favorites that I didn't see on the list? Diesel's "Sausalito Summer Nights!"

@ladygzb: It should also be noted that in some cases, when you can't get these songs for free in Google's Music store... you can get some for only 49 cents and I believe today is the last day for this particular promotion.

For instance, "I'm Too Sexy" is currently 49 cents in Google's Music store.

@tcayer: Sausalito Summer Night can be had in Google's Music store for only 49 cents for the song, and I believe today is the last day for this promotion.

If that link doesn't work, go to https://market.android.com/music and search for Sausalito Summer Night. Then, preview it to be sure it's the right version of what you're after.

Relevant only due to the one-hit theme... I was visiting the ATL a few months ago and a pop station was running a contest to name the tune while only playing a clip with the lyrics "Save tonight". Silly ATL hipsters took 10 minutes to guess the name of the song. I felt old.

Vanilla Ice isn't a one hit wonder. Doesn't anyone remember Go Ninja, Go Ninja Go! from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vx7dt0Wscpc

One Hit wonders? So that means every band out right now?

Picked up a couple Amazon "one hit wonders" even though that label is a bit misleading in some cases. Oh and kudos on the Android/Google links above too, those are some good free and cheap tune downloads too!

OMG; Joe Dolce, Shaddap You Face? Some of these songs, crap, are blowing my mind. John Travolta "Let Her In"? One word, awful. Paris Hilton? I'm speechless. I agree with the Men At Work posts; they should not be lumped into one-hit-wonders. The Power Station shouldn't either, or The Romantics, or Quiet Riot. It was a nice detour from the normal surfing ;)
