In for 1 (I have been meaning to replace a couple of old ratty kitchen towels I have right now).

Just note that you'll get a pop-up after you "order," it's just spam, even though it looks similar to the page and asking you for similar info.

The only thing better than Free is rated Mature. In for 1!

Great timing!! Two of my children are moving out in two weeks time. My towels are getting hit hard. Being the nice mom I am, I am giving them my old ones to start with :). After all I deserve new stuff too...lol

Thanks.

"Thank you for requesting our free kitchen towel sample. Your information was received successfully. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. Duplicate requests will not be honored. "

I hope I got in for one.

Thanks!

this is fake. the real site that got victimized is:
http://www.pinecrestmills.com/

if you don't believe me, do a company listing search on pinecrest and weavefield.

PINECREST directory yahoo search:
http://search.yahoo.com/search/dir;_ylt=A0oGdC.WxWhMtpMA8fyEzbkF?p=pinecrest+mills&y=Search&fr2=sb-top

WEAVEFIELD directory yahoo search:
http://search.yahoo.com/search/dir;_ylt=A0oGdFWkxWhMx4QAu3OEzbkF?p=weavefield+mills&y=Search&fr2=sb-top

yahoo says there are no directory matches for weavefields but list the web searches

EDIT:

more proof. the picture says "Pinecrest" on the weavefield mills site. IT'S A SCAM SITE. http://weavefieldmills.com/bamboogolftowels.htm

@zzzaap: I called the phone number on the contact us page and got a real person... Unfortunately, I neglected to account for the time difference between here and Massachusetts... Oops. Whomever answered was NOT happy! :)

vote-for1vote-against

why bother with a scam site... haven't these people ever heard of a phone book?

vote-for1vote-against

Not to mention, it says kitchen towel SAMPLE. Don't trust it.

vote-for1vote-against

LOL some people will take anything just because it's free.

I am selling used underwear, $0.00, free shipping!

vote-for1vote-against

Nice. I'm on their mailing list now!

vote-for2vote-against

@frontxxrunner: So? What's the worst that could happen? You get some spam in the mail?

I'm moving from this apartment in 2 weeks anyway ;)

vote-for1vote-against

Maybe @nephrectomy1 or @perkalicious11 could stop by and offer some information on this since they got another freebie from this site.(The one that I had listed in the OP)

vote-for2vote-against

I'm fully expecting spam mail,
but for a new kitchen towel it sounds good to me :)

vote-for1vote-against

@zzzaap: lol, not to mention you can't BUY anything from them. Stores customarily sell stuff...in my experience atleast...

vote-for1vote-against

The phone number and the fax number are the same. That's...interesting. lol

@darkkoala: I hate to say it, but you my friend, sold you're info for a non-existent, free towel. But! This actually makes sense, as to how they can give away so many ;)

@zzzap hit the nail on the head...I could spew a bunch of proof about why this is (mod edit: profanity), but his post proves the point...

But this stuff is always interesting:

vote-for1vote-against

@aramagedon: are you in on the scamsites? Or is that just a coincidence..? Wouldn't even ask, but I glanced at you're recent posts and noticed they were all pretty much "FREE" stuff...

Definitely notta accusation, just wondering...oh yeah, what became of you're last Free Towel deal from this site? (the one you mentioned in the OP)

vote-for1vote-against

I should have read the comments before acting so quickly...

Shouldn't this be removed?

vote-for1vote-against

I drive by warehouse st a few times every week. Maybe I'll stop in and get some towels for everyone.

http://network-tools.com/default.asp?prog=whois&host=weavefieldmills.com

So, are you saying we should all fill out the free towel form with the whois info? Brilliant!

vote-for1vote-against

In for 1. I love free stuff!

vote-for2vote-against

Awww! Wish I'd read the rest of the comments before ordering. This needs to be removed if it's fake/spam. Thanks for nothing!!

vote-for1vote-against

@armagedon: I got some spam, which goes to the spam folder and is deleted. But, alas, no free hand towel.

vote-for1vote-against

@armagedon: I feel so honored to be paged! :)
I never received the towel from the offer 6 months ago either. I used a mailinator.com email address when I signed up, so no spam for me! Can't recall which address I used, but I don't seem to be getting any additional junk mail via US Post.

vote-for1vote-against

I looked up the address on Google Maps and went to street view and there was no factory at that address with that name. I don't even recall seeing that address as I moved along that street.

vote-for1vote-against

If it's free.....it's for me. Nice!!!

vote-for2vote-against

it's not a free towel peeps... it's a free towel SAMPLE. That means you'll get a 1"x1" swatch, that's it.

vote-for1vote-against

@drchops: No, I am not in on the scam sites. Most of my other deals are reliable. I try to make sure that they are safe, but every once and awhile a bad one can get in :(. Also, on the OP mentioned deal, you can see that I did not make that deal. I read through all of those comments to make sure that this was a safe website and checked McAfee before I posted, but it seems as though it isn't.

Thank you nephrectomy1 and perkalicious11 for responding so quickly.:)

vote-for1vote-against

I just did it. Say RIP, but as of 8/16/2010 7:02PM it is still working. Can't beat FREE!

vote-for1vote-against

@mrsly69: look at my above post, i'm surprised to still find this listing

vote-for1vote-against

I love getting free stuff in the mail.

@rerundadog: I hope you mean recycling bin stuffing...

I say you sign him up for a taste of his own medicine.

Didn't look here first and signed up. Unfortunalty, my husband got a mass mailing e-mail from me today that I did not send. Somehow, my e-mail address is being used and this is only one of two things I did in the last few days. Signed up for the NetiPot - but that showed up. Haven't seen a towel, so I'm assuming this was it. If you read this, DON'T SIGN UP. WISH I HAD LOOKED BEFORE I DID!
