rats. I just bought two stripped cmmg lowers from my local gun store for 130 each. at
this price it would still have been cheaper to get these even counting the ffl transfer fee and shipping. can anyone comment on the quality of these? I understand that most of them are all pdretty much the same. I chose cmmg on the recommendation of a cop who's a competitive shooter. he said they were about as good as most both upper and lower.

Haha.. When I added this I figured I'd be lucky if it stayed positive, considering that a lot of people probably just see an expensive, funny shaped piece of aluminum :)
Knew there'd probably be at least a couple people who'd be really happy to see it though so I figured I'd add it. +14/-1 isn't exactly "good" but it's nowhere near as bad as I thought it'd go heh
Also, PSA has put these on sale the past few big holidays, so check back next "Holiday." Maybe even New Years?

@robertey: Dude. I just spent like 5 minutes typing a comment to you about the lowers.. I'm sure as (edited: profanity) not retyping, just take my word for it that it would have blown your (edited: profanity) MIND. But I will summarize it heh
These receivers are awesome. PSA has all but officially announced that these things are made by FN. (Also FN makes their barrels). Just to give you an idea of the general view on quality, they've sold like 4,000+ of these the past few sales (which were only like a month apart).

Just thought I would add that I just picked my up from my FFL yesterday from when they went on sale the last time (Black Friday). Shipping can take a little while sometimes (almost 4 weeks for me), but you can't beat the price if you aren't in a hurry.
This is a sweet deal for a forged lower.

I guarantee it's either the people who randomly downvote deals or one of the hardcore "anti gun" kids, that realized this was somehow related to a firearm.
@robertey: I have not personally done a build on one of these, but they are a HUGE hit on the local state firearm forum, AR15.com, and I personally know several people who have done builds on them. Everything fits snug, the customer service is great, and it is a receiver. If it is milspec, its probably alright. There isnt a lot to them, as I am sure you have already observed.
