Laptops built in 2005 have a more powerful CPU than this one.

What is the weight of this laptop?

@satyenshah: GHz means very little when you're comparing cross generations or architectures.

Laptop processors built in 2005 have vastly different architecture than ones built today. Today they are much more efficient, producing more umph with less power. Consider this from a benchmarking standpoint: even a second gen i5 @ 1.4GHz almost beats the performance of a first gen i5 @ 2.2GHz.

@dilcue: Not in this case. While it may be impressive compared to a high clock rate P4, this POc benchmarks at really low score.

For the price this ia an inexcusable cpu that should only be used in say a 9 or 10" ultra-portable netbooks. Putting this in a full form factor laptop case is like putting an Atom into a full laptop. This laptop is a very poor investment when for not much more you can get a computer which crushes it.

And btw I'm ususaly the one on here saying please stop complaining that everything isn't an i7, in this case it really is too slow and a bad way to spend over $300. My 2cents.

Not a deal. HDD should be 500 gB, with 4gB RAM at this price, or else come with an upgraded display resolution (768... really?)
