I've owned two of these and had to return both. The usb wire is defective and will cause you to disconnect and reconnect from windows. Google it and read for yourselves! BEWARE!

The G400 is a newer version of the MX518 and a bad one. I've had the MX518 for almost 10 years and it's a lot more responsive. Don't waste your money.

As someone who beat the heck out of MX518s I can say that the G400 is a very worthy successor to it. Ones with the newer serials eliminated the irritating "prediction" and have a superior sensor. Unfortunately there's no easy way to tell whether Meritline is selling newer or older ones. And while Logitech is famed for extremely good warranty support, I'd be concerned if this is considered grey market even though it appears to be coming from inside the US.

@keffmaster: I agree the 518 is great but this G400 has 4.5 stars on amazon with over 400 reviews... I don't have any personal experience with the G400 but the reviews suggest the G400 is superior but may have problems with its cord.

I own two of these (bought new, not refurbished though) one for over a year, the other for just a couple months. Love this mouse, comfortable and easy to adjust speed as needed. No issues from either.
