Throw in a cheap video card like a Radeon 6670 ($65) and a 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive ($90) and you have a very nice entry-level PC for just over 250 bucks. The Phenom II is old and a bit power hungry, but few applications can even make use of a 3GHz dual-core let alone a quad so it really doens't matter as much as some enthusiasts would have you believe.

Gaming aside, this would be a great PC for anyone who does anything else but gaming for dirt cheap.

@sunsparc: There's something other than gaming to do with computers?!
