27" and 1080p? Not a good deal.

well...from my looking around a 27" monitor with a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 is ~$700 so it may not be great for you but most of the people i know, just dont care at that price level.

Also decent reviews from Amazon. ;)

I picked one up at this price during a previous sale and I'm happy with it. It's not the most amazing picture, but it's nice and big. And

@tx149: you're right, to get a better monitor you either pay more than triple the price or you take your chances on a $300 imported, off-brand monitor.

1080p on a 27" monitor may be fine for some, but not for me. A 27" monitor is on the HUGE side, and at that resolution, it'd be fine for video, gaming, or web browsing, especially if you stuck it on the far side of a desk.

I have a 24" monitor that is 1920 x 1200, and that would be the minimum resolution I would want in a larger monitor. I would definitely prefer 2560 x 1440, but until those come down a bit in price, I'll probably just stick to the monitor I have.

@rsmoker: I did just what you said, except I bought a $500 shipped Perfect Pixel model with glass. I am very happy with it and I think more people should know about the price point.

purchased one the last time this deal came up, loving it. and the resolution is great, especially since my eyes arent as good as they once were. I upgraded from a 22" at 1680x1050 and the difference was enough that i could stop zooming in on certain areas of text.

for mine, the color and picture are good, no issues. im a 12-18 hour a day computer user, so any issues with the picture would stand out after a while.
