Great deal! Maybe with all the money you saved, you can buy more drinks?

USB? Really? Hope you got an extra Apple USB->AC power adapter lying around. If the quality is as bad as the cheapo one I bought last year, the "high capacity" batteries will be useless after the first couple weeks. I thought my Wii was broken when I couldn't get either controller to work. Turns out it was just the incredibly crappy batteries.

My experience is identical to pyabo's. This charger kit is one of the absolute worst video game accessories I have ever purchased. Not only did the batteries go bad VERY shortly after purchase, but the charger itself started malfunctioning and wouldn't charge the batteries unless they were in the absolute perfect position, which is impossible to do for both batteries at the same time. All that, and the damn cable is, like, 4-6 inches long, making the whole process ridiculously more cumbersome.

I have one of these too and they're...okay. To charge, I've found they need to be sitting at a really specific angle, but all in all it's better than double A batteries. Honestly, I'd spring for a better one though. The first one I bought broke after a week and I had to get them to ship a replacement.

If you want a wiimote charger, go with Nyko. I bought the quad remote charger and it's an excellent product, although a bit more pricey.

It now says it's $14.99

Ditto to the above comments, batteries wouldn't hold a charge after only a few recharges. Whole unit is happily sitting in a landfill somewhere now.

good idea, but the one i have gets really HOT. needless to say, it's just a paperweight now.

Another ditto on the previous comments. Got one of these as a gift and it died very quickly. Get some nice rechargeable AA batteries and use them. They'll last longer, and you can use them in other stuff if you need to!

Ditto me too. After the batteries stopped charging after only a few weeks, I ditched it and got the Nyko kit from Costco. One hint if you get the Nyko and have a black controller. You need to cut a little circle out of the back so the sensor can see the controller is there, so it will charge.

Unfortunately, I agree with all of the negative comments. I got my rechargeable pack at Bed Bath and Beyond, and it never maintained a charge for more than two hours, even when new. Rechargeable AA batteries is the way to go.

id suggest being careful with anything with rechargeable wiimotes. Got a charging station similar to this one for my wiimotes and it burned out the wiimote itself.

if anything get rechargeable batteries that are charge outside of the wiimote...

theres my .02

CHEAP!! I bought one not that long ago and it half works...I have to play with the remotes on the charger in order for them to charge...but for the price, you cant complain too much. You get what you pay for!

I can totally identify with the comment about hurling the remote through the flatscreen playing Wii bowling. I am honest enough (& embarassed) to admit that I did exactly that. Better me than one of the kids. Needless to say, I now require wrist strap use even if you're on Wii shopping.

+1 to what a lot of people said (I have one):

-USB, so you need an adapter to plug it in
-USB Cord is 4" or less
-Need to have batteries plugged into the Wiimotes to charge
-Need to get Wiimotes sitting PERFECTLY to charge
-Charge dies after 2 hours or less
-Batteries don't stay in perfectly

and one which I didn't see mentioned:

-The charger is bloody loud!

All that said, I still use it, but you get what you pay for.

Wow, crazy amount of bad comments. I bought this kit when we got our Wii (around Christmas) and it has not given me one problem. It powers right off of the Wii usb ports and just sits there charging batteries. My batteries have been fine and seem to last just fine. I am not a power gamer, but a couple of hours of Mario and I still have plenty of juice left. My only issue is that you have to take the wrist strap off each time you charge it or it does not make good contact with the charge contacts.

USB but you can charge from the Wii console. You can only use the coupon once. free shipping good deal.
