@nrtp: I know that the wireless on my mouse is one of those large transmitters on a cord, but this was bought about seven years ago hopefully things have changed a bit since then

if you click on the picture it links you to the site and yes, it is one of those huge usb things on a cord. i'd say it's better for a desktop, or pc hooked up to your tv, not so much for laptops.

Amazon lists a refurb for $9.99 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0011FQUUW/ref=dp_olp_refurbished?ie=UTF8&qid=1286114628&sr=8-2&condition=refurbished), so I suspect that "like new" means it's actually refurbished.
