Solar-Powered Fountain Pump Kit for $19.99 + free shipping
Because no one likes a fountain full of extension cords.
I wonder how this works under cloudy skies.
coupon code: 1018737414 gets you 20% off. : )
Will it work for a swimming pool, too?
I don't know if it is this model, but a home near us has a fountain in the middle of their very large pond and when the fountain is spraying (nearly every day) it is absolutely beautiful! I wonder if it might be solar powered since it is so far from an electrical source and so far out in the water?

Done. Please feel free to grab it now :)
Link is working again now. Coupon works, too.
Every summer we put out a kiddie pool for the Black Lab because its so hot out. Looks like this year Doggy gets a new fountain for 15.99 shipped!
I'm going to make a barbecue fountain!
Does anyone know where it's coming from? The payment page looks a little iffy.
Looks like China....normally if I order from China I get junk...
Hi @wolfcheater @kelliedn , we are an online shop from China (with a base in Canada). We have been online since 2001 and we aim to offer more good deals at bargain prices for people who would like to save some $$$. It's a little hard for us to get you 100% quality guaranteed for over 30,000 products. But you can always reach out to us for any quality/after-sale issues through Support(at)SuntekStore.com Thanks :)
Is it just me or does this think hardly qualify as a 'fountain'? The specs state 150 Liters/hour which equates to around 2 1/2 quarts a minute. I'm not certain how that compares to other fountains but it seems to be equal to a watering can IMO (at least visually). I mean looking at the photos it's not too convincing. I know its not much $$$....
@jimmyd103:
It looks as though it sprinkles to achieve height. So no mighty geyser here.
I wonder if there's a way to anchor them, otherwise due to the small amount of water in the air, and any wind at all, it would hang around on the very edge of your pond and basically very slowly empty them over the course of days/weeks :D
The Suntek Store is in Hotel California. You can check in but you cannot check out. Finally after 3 trys and 15 minutes was able to check out.
Sandig-Thanks for the coupon code, worked fine
Ok, my husband is going to think I'm totally off my rocker now. I'm thinking of buying this to keep my chickens cool on a hot summer day. Last year I set up a hose on mist, but it seems like a waste of water.
Can the company tell me approximately how high the water shoots up? This actually would be a selling point for me. Oh, also...any idea how long the solar panels last? I've bought cheap solar lawn ornaments which barely last thru the summer before the panels stop functioning.
@boydrew: Not really. Maybe we need to "lose some weight". We listen to and handle every complaint and try to do better :-)
@myfester: It's 6 inches wide, won't work for much of anything....
Do you think cats would drink from it? Since cats love running water, but I don't leave the water running in the sink for them, I'm looking for an alternative...
New bath toy....enough said.
Man! I thought for sure it was a Sit n' Spin!
@jimmyd103: From the order page, "Vertical spray up to 17.7 inch (45cm)".
What do you really expect from a $20 solar-powered pump?
I have used one similar to this.. good luck getting much of anything out of it unless you are next to the damn sun. The motor is VERY weak and requires direct sunlight, but if you are in a sunny area without a screen on a pool or something like that, it may be worth the price of admission.
@zollars23: I wasn't expecting a 6' geyser and I totally get that it's cheap. But, just looking at the pictures it didn't appear that there was much water fountain-ing out of it.
Appears to be the same, or very similar, to this one on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Instapark%C2%AE-GYP-0014-Solar-powered-Water-Pump/dp/B004XXRFWQ/
Reviews are fairly dismal.
This might be cool for a birdbath.
edit...I just looked at the amazon link and sho enuf...that's what people are using it for.
A side benefit of ithe water flow being weak is that weak is great for a bird bath. Apparently the sound of moving water -- even just a drip -- will attract birds to the bath. They're not looking for a gushing fountain or a jacuzzi.
I bought one of these things from Harbor Freight. It is junk. It took me 3 returns to get one that worked at all. When it did work, it only shot water about 3 inches above the spout. There was not a cloud in the sky, it was mid summer, 90+ degrees and mid afternoon. IMHO, don't waste your money on this..
