I am a Stargate fan but I couldn't get into this storyline. I have been told by others that if you like the Battlestar Galactica re-boot (I didn't) that you will like this series.

This is the first Stargate show I've watched with any regularity. It's definitely trying to be more like the BSG reboot (which I loved), but is almost too slow-paced. It's finally finding it's footing, but has already been officially canceled unfortunately (the final 10 episodes started up this past Monday). The same thing happened to Caprica.

Shaky-Cam! The whole series seems shot with a wobbly camera. It's a bit annoying at times.

I'm a Stargate fan, and like this series, but not well enough to spend $30 on season 1. Let me know when it is on sale for $10.

wait why are they not calling this the complete series on blu-ray the show has already been canceled !

Because there's a 20-episode season 2 that's currently wrapping up airing.

This has such a complex story line, but its way cool. I love how they keep finding more out about the ship (that's what keeps me watching, to find out the next cool thing about the ship that is supposed to be older than time) as well as the stones that let them communicate back with earth (taking over other peoples bodies.) I was never in to the other Star Gate series, but I really like this one.

But I like streaming episodes online--Hulu Plus works for me.

This show is good enough. Very BSG-like in the way that it's depressing, moderately dramatic, and dark (also drifting through space alone, power struggles included).

It's also on Netflix streaming...

should have called it SGU, the only season. I love all the Stargates but this was way too dark for a Stargate series. Perfect for the BSG fans.

Just when the show was starting to get really interesting, SyFy (seefee) decides to cancel it. BOOOOO!

And now the network is debuting a cooking show? Come on, man!

This is a deal...but you'd be better off drinking diarrhea or rewatching Spiderman 3 than sitting through this show. I couldn't believe I actually sat and watched a whole season. Bring back Atlantis! If we can't have anymore SG-1, at least give us a show moderately ENTERTAINING!
